CONCORDIA Bakery
CONCORDIA Bakery was founded as a social business in Romania, Ploiești, at the crossroads between the realisation of an idea and the satisfaction of a growing need to improve the chances of young people at risk of exclusion in the field of education and employment. Baker is a popular profession in Romania because, as in many European countries, bread is one of the main foodstuffs in Romania. The demand for well-trained bakers is correspondingly high. At CONCORDIA vocational school, disadvantaged young people can learn this profession and earn their living with it later on. The CONCORDIA bakery training is aimed at 18-25 year old young adults who have not yet successfully completed their training and who have difficulties in integrating into the labour market due to multiple problems.
In September 2018, 9 young people started their training as bakers.
